Department of Fire Safety Management at Dongui Science University Visits Korea Safety Industry Expo

The Department of Fire Safety Management at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on the 20th that its students attended the '2024 Korea Safety Industry Expo' held at BEXCO in Busan on the 10th.

This expo, the largest event of its kind in Korea, showcased the latest safety technologies and products, introducing innovative solutions and technologies for safety across various industries.

At the expo, students had the opportunity to experience advanced firefighting equipment and safety management systems firsthand, allowing them to stay updated on the latest industry trends. In particular, they participated in a safety product performance based on a high-rise fire scenario in Busan, learned practical safety response measures, and engaged in meaningful exchanges by networking with industry experts to broaden their practical knowledge and receive career advice.

Additionally, the students attended the 'Busan Disaster Safety Forum,' which was held concurrently with the expo. During the forum, they discussed disaster response and safety measures in the Busan area with various disaster management experts, reaffirming the importance of disaster prevention and management.

One participating student shared, "It was a very beneficial experience to see the latest technologies and equipment firsthand," and added, "It greatly helped me develop the competencies needed as a future fire safety professional."

Cho Subum, head of the Department of Fire Safety Management at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, stated, "We expect that students will achieve deeper learning by confirming and experiencing what they have learned in theory at actual industrial sites," and added, "We will continue to provide various field learning opportunities to support students in growing into professionals with expertise."
