Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor, Attends Special Lecture by Garden Artist Hwang Jihae

On the afternoon of the 19th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended a special lecture by garden artist Hwang Ji-hae held in the annex auditorium of the district office to create a high-quality "Garden City Yeongdeungpo."

Garden artist Hwang Ji-hae is an expert in the field of gardens, shining as a three-time gold medalist at the Chelsea Flower Show in the UK. In this lecture, under the theme "The Sun Shining on the Corner," she introduced Korean gardens showcased at the 2023 Chelsea Flower Show and discussed the potential and future value of Korean gardens.

Additionally, a special lecture by Lee Soo-yeon, Director of the Garden City Bureau of Seoul, was held, sharing Seoul's garden policies and vision, thereby strengthening the foundation for cooperation between Seoul City and Yeongdeungpo District.

Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, "I hope this lecture will be a great opportunity to increase residents' interest and curiosity about gardens," and added, "Based on the content of the lecture, we will do our best to create a high-quality garden city Yeongdeungpo so that living in Yeongdeungpo can be a source of pride and joy."
