Honam Entrepreneurs Surpass 170,000 Cumulative Users
Lounge Users Increase by 17.6%...Rising Popularity
Support for Meeting Rooms and Office Spaces, Core Platform
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 19th that as of the end of August, the cumulative number of users of the Yongsan Station Business Lounge has surpassed 170,000.
According to the province, the total number of users this year reached 15,932, a 17.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Usage by local businesspeople has also increased significantly, solidifying the lounge's role as a practical business hub among companies in the Jeonbuk region.
Among them, the usage rate by Jeonbuk companies was 4,009, marking a 23.8% increase compared to the previous year, with businesspeople efficiently continuing their metropolitan area business activities through the Yongsan Lounge.
The lounge was established in 2013 as a joint initiative by Jeonbuk Province, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Jeonnam Province. It is equipped with convenient facilities such as meeting rooms, office spaces, and rest areas to support business activities in the metropolitan area.

Over the past 10 years, more than 170,000 businesspeople from the Honam region have used the Yongsan Station Business Lounge.
Since 2020, Jeonbuk companies have successfully concluded 45 business negotiations here, signing contracts worth over 298 billion KRW. This year, as of the end of August, contracts worth approximately 198.4 billion KRW have been finalized, showing remarkable results.
Thus, the lounge has established itself as a key platform where companies can conduct substantial business negotiations and networking in the metropolitan area.
Company A, based in Jeonbuk, recently used the lounge and successfully signed contracts with metropolitan area companies. The CEO of Company A expressed satisfaction, saying, "Thanks to the lounge at Yongsan Station, business activities in the metropolitan area have become much easier," and added, "The well-equipped facilities enable smooth collaboration with metropolitan companies."
The lounge offers three meeting rooms available for presentations, office and rest spaces, business computers, multifunction devices, and various other convenient facilities. Any Jeonbuk businessperson or related institution personnel can use the lounge free of charge on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., excluding Sundays and public holidays.
Song Juseop, head of the Corporate Difficulty Resolution Division, stated, "We will continue to strengthen business infrastructure and focus on improving the corporate environment to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the Honam region grow."
