You Are Invited to the World Military Look Festival Poster of the 8th World Military Look Festival.

The '8th World Military Look Festival' (Honorary Chairman Kim Seong-won, Chairman Baek Ho-hyun), held in the DMZ areas of Yeoncheon and Dongducheon, will take place over two days from October 12 to 13 at the Paleolithic site in Jeongok-ri, Jeongok-eup, Yeoncheon.


According to Yeoncheon County on the 19th, the 8th World Military Look Festival is hosted and organized by the World Military Look Festival Central Association, with support from Yeoncheon County, Yeoncheon County Council, Dongducheon City, Dongducheon City Council, and the Northern Gyeonggi Veterans Affairs Office.


The '8th World Military Look Festival' features participation from civilians, government, and military in △ Exhibition area (mobile equipment such as K1E1 tanks, K200 armored vehicles, firepower equipment including tactical vehicles, communication equipment, surveillance equipment, military goods, etc.) △ Performance area (1st Corps Taekwondo breaking demonstration, special martial arts, appearance by original singer Heo Seong-hee of 'A Word Left by a Comrade,' military band mini-concert, cheerleader performances, military personnel talent show, arm wrestling competition, club performances) △ Experience area (survival games, performances by military enthusiasts, Dongducheon Fire Department mobile experience vehicle, CPR experience) △ Promotion area, allowing visitors to directly engage with diverse and meaningful military culture.


A representative of the World Military Look Festival stated, "This military culture festival is designed to allow participants to experience military cultures from around the world and highlight the importance of peace, unification, and security. It excludes political ideologies or military objectives and is planned as a program where older generations who cherish memories of military service and youth preparing for conscription can experience military life."


Kim Deok-hyun, Governor of Yeoncheon County, said, "Through this festival, we aim to improve the image of the nation and the military by hosting an experiential festival where people can see, hear, touch, and feel, fostering patriotism and creating a communication platform among civilians, government, and military to contribute to the spread of military culture."


Honorary Chairman Kim Seong-won (Member of the National Assembly) also said, "When the 3rd National Cemetery, to be built in Sinseo-myeon, Yeoncheon County, is completed in 2025, Yeoncheon will become a city of national defense attracting attention nationwide. The foundation for this is the World Military Look Festival military culture festival," adding, "We will strive to make Yeoncheon a global military culture festival city."
