Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced on the 19th that it has issued a public recruitment notice for the position of Inspector General (open position) and will begin the official appointment process.
The Inspector General is a key position responsible for establishing discipline among public officials, developing and implementing measures to prevent misconduct, handling cases involving crimes, misconduct, and petitions by public officials, and overseeing various audit and integrity-related tasks.
Eligibility for the Inspector General position includes individuals who have worked for more than three years in audit-related fields such as audit, investigation, legal affairs, budget/accounting, research/planning/evaluation at central administrative agencies or local governments, or who have served for more than three years as a public official of grade 5 or higher (or equivalent), judge, prosecutor, attorney, or certified public accountant. Applications will be accepted in person or by mail at the General Affairs Division of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education from October 14 to 18. Successful candidates from the document screening will be announced on November 1, and after an interview process, the final candidate will be selected in November and appointed as of January 1, 2025.
