Seongdong-gu Operates 'Non-face-to-face Prenatal DIY Program'...Supports Baby Product Kits

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will operate a 'Non-face-to-face Prenatal Education DIY Program' for registered pregnant women in the district to commemorate Pregnant Women’s Day on October 10.

This program will be conducted online, and participants will experience hand sewing to make baby products by watching the provided video lecture (VOD).

This program aims to provide emotional stability and stress relief for pregnant women, allowing time for communication and bonding between the baby and the mother.

From September 23 to 27, participants can choose and receive a kit of their choice?rabbit soft ball, dragon rattle, or baby sheep Jjanggu pillow?at the I-Mom Health Center (4th floor of Seongdong-gu Public Health Center).

Applicants can start making the baby products at their preferred time by referring to the instructional video immediately after receiving the kit. If they submit a photo of the completed product along with a satisfaction survey between October 1 and 18, the first 30 applicants will receive a swaddling blanket.

Currently, 80 participants are being recruited on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who wish to participate can apply through the Seoul Pregnancy and Childbirth Information Center website by 6 p.m. on September 22.

Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, “We have launched a non-face-to-face baby product making program that pregnant women who could not participate in the in-person program can easily join from home,” and added, “We hope families participating will have time to bond and communicate with their unborn babies through the baby product making kits provided.”
