President Yoon: "Thank You to Medical Staff Guarding Emergency Rooms During Holiday Break" President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife Kim Keon-hee conveyed Chuseok holiday greetings, the presidential office announced on the 13th.

President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife delivered a national message through a Chuseok holiday video on the 13th, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.


In the video, President Yoon said, "I hope you have a bountiful and prosperous Chuseok like a full harvest moon," and added, "I deeply thank the military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and medical staff guarding the emergency rooms who are dedicating themselves to the people even during the holiday break."


He also said, "Thanks to the support of the people, a bright and hopeful tomorrow is opening," and promised, "I will work harder for a greater leap forward for the Republic of Korea and for a prosperous and happy livelihood."


First Lady Kim Geon-hee, who appeared in the video, greeted the nation together with the president for the first time in a year since last Chuseok. She said, "I thank everyone who is sharing warm hands for neighbors in need," and added, "I will devote my heart and efforts to warmly embrace the lives of each and every citizen."

The Chuseok video was filmed over the course of one hour on the 8th at the Freedom Hall on the 2nd floor of the Presidential Office.
The presidential couple entered accompanied by their pet dogs 'Saeromi' and 'Sunny,' greeting the children, and the Presidential Office stated that the filming took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere with the children and the pets all together.

In this year’s Chuseok video, President Yoon and his wife appeared with 12 children from multicultural families. The video conveyed the hope that diverse citizens come together to enjoy a happy holiday. Children aged 3 to 11, boys and girls, whose parents are marriage immigrants from China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, appeared wearing hanbok.


President Yoon and his wife entered accompanied by their pet dogs, Saerom and Sunny, and warmly greeted the children. Saerom is a retired guide dog adopted by the Yoon couple in December 2022, becoming a new family member. After filming the video, the president and his wife gave gifts and balloons to the children and took commemorative photos, also engaging in conversations with the children’s parents who were present on set.


The Presidential Office explained, "The Yoon Suk-yeol administration is promoting multicultural family policies as a national agenda to realize a 'family where no one is left out and a society where everyone participates together,'" and added, "Through this video, President Yoon and his wife directly conveyed the vision of government management, 'Warm Government' and 'Warm Companionship.'"
