"Let's Help Our Juniors"... Pusan National University Architecture Alumni Association Donates 240.5 Million Won for Alma Mater's 70th Anniversary Development Fund

Establishment of 'Architecture Alumni Support Scholarship'... Annual Scholarships to Be Awarded

Pusan National University (President Choi Jaewon) held a donation ceremony for the Department of Architecture Alumni Association Development Fund, totaling 240.5 million KRW, in the university headquarters’ first conference room on the 13th.

Lee Chaekeun, President of the Architecture Alumni Association, Vice President Son Cheolwan, and Secretary General Yeo Woonbae attended the event and delivered the fund.

The development fund donated this time includes the previously established scholarship fund by the Architecture Alumni Association and a scholarship fund raised in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Architecture. The 70th anniversary celebration event for the Department of Architecture was held on May 10th.

Under the slogan “70 Years of Architecture Built Together, 100 Years of Future to Share Together,” the commemorative event was attended by over 300 alumni. The alumni joined forces to establish the “Architecture Alumni Support Scholarship,” which will provide scholarships to students annually.

Choi Jaewon, President of Pusan National University, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am thankful for the warm hearts and dedication of the alumni who are helping to shape the future of their juniors based on the beautiful and outstanding traditions and values of the Department of Architecture at Pusan National University.” He added, “Let us work together as one with the alumni association and the university to further develop the Department of Architecture and Pusan National University.”

Lee Chaekeun, President of the Department of Architecture Alumni Association, stated, “I hope this development fund will provide practical support for the studies and research of our juniors in the Department of Architecture.” He continued, “The Architecture Alumni Association will continue to support the growth of our alma mater and juniors. We will join forces so that the tradition of the Department of Architecture, nurtured by the university and department members, can grow into a great tree for the future.”
