On the 13th, Yonhap News reported that the Jeju Dongbu Police Station has booked and is investigating three suspects: a man in his 20s, A, and two teenagers, B and C, on charges of special theft. They rode a stolen motorcycle and moved to a jewelry store in Ildo-dong, Jeju City, at around 2:10 a.m. that day, broke the glass entrance door with a stone, and quickly stole dozens of precious metals worth about 60 million won, including pure gold bracelets, before fleeing.

The moment of the crime was fully captured on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) near the jewelry store. The footage showed a man wearing a motorcycle helmet throwing a stone at the jewelry store entrance and rushing in.

Seven minutes after the crime occurred, the police received a report from a security company and arrested the suspects hiding in a motel in Jeju City at around 4:48 a.m., 2 hours and 30 minutes later, recovering all the stolen items.

According to the police investigation, the suspects had come to Jeju Island as tourists two weeks earlier and committed the crime to secure living expenses before leaving Jeju that day.

The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the case and questioning whether the suspects committed any other crimes.
