The 41st Regional Informatization Best Practices Presentation Hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award for its "Smart Rural Shared Platform Service" at the 41st Regional Informatization Best Practices Presentation Conference.
This conference, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is held to discover and share innovative informatization best practices from local governments across the country. Ten representative cases from cities and provinces, selected through document review and public evaluation, were evaluated by a final panel of judges and on-site assessment to select the award-winning institutions.
The "Smart Rural Shared Platform Service" is a platform designed to address labor shortages caused by the aging rural population and to reduce the burden of purchasing agricultural machinery for farmers. It allows both farmers and urban residents to utilize various rural resources together.
Yangsan City introduced its efforts to promote and activate the platform, shared cases where small-scale farms reduced the burden of purchasing agricultural machinery through resource sharing, and explained that the efficient use of local resources has contributed to increased farm income as well as strengthened cooperation within the local community.
At this presentation conference, the final evaluation was conducted on ten representative best practices from cities and provinces that passed the document and public reviews among the excellent cases submitted nationwide.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "This award is a recognition of Yangsan City's informatization innovation on a national level," and added, "We will continue to contribute to improving the quality of life for local residents through ongoing technological advancements."
