Kolon Global announced on the 13th that it will hold the '2024 Kolon Global Construction Technology Contest' to discover outstanding construction technologies.
The contest is open to domestic ventures, small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-sized companies, and domestic research institutions. The themes are related to new construction methods and technologies, including △construction execution, process, quality, and cost improvement technologies, construction automation, OSC, digital-based project management, smart control and safety technologies, △smart construction technologies, wind power, hydrogen, water treatment, biogasification technologies,
and △eco-friendly and energy technologies, focusing on construction technologies that are at the demonstration stage or can be immediately applied to construction sites.
The application period is until the 27th, and after internal evaluation, the winning entries will be selected and announced next month. A total of three technologies will be selected, with total prize money amounting to 20 million KRW.
The selected technologies will be pilot-introduced at Kolon Global sites to verify their effectiveness, and technologies proven successful will be offered opportunities for commercialization and joint development.
A Kolon Global representative stated, “Through the ‘2024 Kolon Global Construction Technology Contest,’ we plan to progressively discover excellent technologies applicable to all processes in the construction field, aiming to enhance Kolon Global’s technological competitiveness and promote mutual growth within the industry.”
