- Thriving Jeju Real Estate Market... Focus on Jeju's Largest Apartment Complex
Attention is focused on promising housing complexes to be supplied after Chuseok. As apartment sale and jeonse prices rise mainly in Seoul, the enthusiasm for new housing subscription is heating up.
As the subscription fever in Seoul spreads to other regions, the local real estate market is also regaining momentum. In particular, 'We Park Jeju,' constructed by Hoban Construction in Orae-dong, Jeju City, has succeeded in subscription popularity, increasing demand interest in Jeju's real estate market.
According to the Korea Real Estate Board's Subscription Home, the 1st and 2nd priority subscription results for 'We Park Jeju' show that out of 1,260 units offered, a total of 5,703 applications were received. This is the highest number of subscription applications among complexes offered in Jeju Island in recent years. Especially, the 84A type, considered the main size, and the penthouses were closed in the 1st priority subscription, and other types also showed high subscription rates exceeding the number of units supplied.
The subscription success of We Park Jeju is evaluated as the highest level since 2019, a period described as a real estate market boom. Accordingly, local end-users and metropolitan investors who had maintained a wait-and-see stance are also showing strong interest.
The factors contributing to We Park Jeju's success include its optimal location offering panoramic views of Hallasan Mountain and the Jeju sea, and being the largest large-scale apartment complex in Jeju Island.
A sales representative of We Park Jeju stated, “Most types secured five times the number of prospective residents compared to the number of units supplied, so good results are expected for winners and prospective residents.” They added, “We will maximize residential satisfaction by applying We Park Jeju’s excellent product quality and specialized design.”
Hoban Construction’s ‘We Park Jeju’ is designed as Jeju Island’s largest large-scale complex with 28 buildings from three basement floors to 15 above-ground floors, totaling 1,401 units: 686 units in Complex 1 and 715 units in Complex 2. The exclusive area ranges from 84 to 197㎡, mainly composed of medium to large-sized units.
The complex applies a south-facing layout and a 4-bay slab-type floor plan with cross ventilation (varies by type), providing excellent lighting and ventilation. Additionally, all units feature glass railings and open balconies (for some types), offering a sense of openness and a pleasant living environment, with views of Odeungbong Park, Hallasan Mountain, and ocean views (varies by type).
Specialized floor plans tailored to residents’ diverse lifestyles are provided. The 84㎡ type offers options such as a ‘bedroom enhancement type’ that expands bedroom space according to family needs and a ‘wide living room enhancement type’ that enlarges the living room. Also, the number of rooms can be expanded from 2 to 3 depending on family composition.
The 108㎡ type features specialized designs that satisfy housewives’ preferences, such as an open balcony with excellent cross ventilation and lighting, and a large pantry maximizing storage and kitchen space, attracting attention from visitors to the model house.
Community facilities supporting various hobbies and leisure activities of residents will also be established. These include a fitness center, indoor golf practice range, small library, children’s library, daycare center, and caf? lounge. A screen swimming pool incorporating the latest technology is also planned. Furthermore, between Complex 1 and Complex 2, there will be the Hallado Library, an art center, and a planned complex cultural facility, allowing residents to enjoy cultural life as well.
The announcement of winners for ‘We Park Jeju’ will be on September 20 (Friday) for Complex 1 and September 19 (Thursday) for Complex 2, with contracts conducted over four days from October 1 (Tuesday) to October 4 (Friday).
