Two-Hour Parking Allowed on Roads Near Traditional Markets
In celebration of the Chuseok holiday, public parking lots and cultural facilities such as royal palaces will be open free of charge.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 15th that from the 14th to the 18th during the holiday period, over 15,000 public parking lots nationwide and 44 cultural facilities will be open for free, and parking will be allowed for up to 2 hours on roads around 434 traditional markets across the country.

Information on nationwide public parking lots and cultural facilities open for free can be checked from the 13th on the GonguNuri website, Naver Map, KakaoMap, T Map, iNavi Air, and Hyundai Motor Company navigation systems.
By searching for "holiday free opening" or "holiday parking lot," users can find information such as locations and opening dates.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety collects and provides information on public facilities such as parking lots opened during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays every year. This Chuseok, information on cultural facilities such as royal palaces, historic sites, museums, and art galleries is newly provided.
The parking zones on roads around traditional markets were decided by local governments in consultation with traditional market merchant associations and the National Police Agency. Areas around fire facilities, children protection zones, sidewalks (pedestrian paths), and no-parking zones as well as high-accident areas are excluded from the parking allowed zones.
Deputy Minister Ko Gi-dong of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety stated, "We will continue to expand information disclosure by linking with more private apps so that the public can use them conveniently."
