Pico to Showcase 'Pico 4 Ultra' on Naver Shopping Live on the 19th

Global XR leading company PICO announced that on September 19th at 8 PM, it will showcase its latest Mixed Reality (MR) headset, the ‘PICO 4 Ultra and PICO Motion Tracker,’ through Naver Shopping Live. This live broadcast is expected to introduce the key features and performance of the PICO 4 Ultra while providing an opportunity for real-time interaction with viewers.

First, the PICO 4 Ultra applies a completely new Mixed Reality to offer a panoramic workspace feature that supports multitasking. Users can freely adjust the number, size, and position of virtual windows within a panoramic 360° space, and easily switch between immersive mode and see-through mode using buttons on the system navigation bar.

The PICO 4 Ultra boasts powerful performance with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon® XR2 Gen 2 platform and 12GB of large-capacity memory. It is also equipped with seven vision sensors: four environment tracking cameras, two color pass-through cameras, and one iToF depth sensing camera, providing high-definition, low-distortion color see-through and a strong Mixed Reality experience. Among these, the dual 32-megapixel color see-through cameras installed on the PICO 4 Ultra capture high-resolution original footage, which is processed and output as 8-megapixel/20.6 PPD color see-through video displayed on the screen.

The PICO 4 Ultra features an ergonomically designed balanced design for comfortable wear, similar to previous products. The front main body weighs approximately 304g, the rear total weight is about 276g, making the total weight around 580g. The new PICO 4 Ultra controller has been reborn with a compact design by removing the ring. The controller’s weight and height have been reduced for a more comfortable grip, while the broadband linear motor is maintained so users can still enjoy delicate vibration feedback.

One of the most notable features of the PICO 4 Ultra is the 'PICO Motion Tracker.' Users can capture full-body motion simply by wearing the PICO Motion Tracker on their ankles. Each device weighs 27g, making it lightweight, and after charging, it offers up to 25 hours of continuous use for extended enjoyment. The part that contacts the leg is equipped with an ergonomic soft pad, providing comfortable wear even during high-intensity activities such as exercise or dancing.

Ease of use is also a key feature. The PICO Motion Tracker supports ‘automatic pairing,’ so once paired, it automatically connects every time it is used thereafter. Additionally, it has a ‘one-look calibration’ function, allowing users to complete calibration just by looking at the device, reducing setup time.

The PICO Motion Tracker supports a total of 20 standalone contents, including VRChat and Tempo Club, and can also be utilized in a richer SteamVR game ecosystem through PCVR. The PICO Motion Tracker is compatible with both the PICO 4 Ultra and PICO 4, allowing existing users to experience new full-body tracking.

Furthermore, the PICO 4 Ultra supports shooting and playback of spatial videos. Spatial video is a feature that allows users to record through a camera and view it stereoscopically in 3D via VR. Spatial videos and photos taken with Apple devices such as the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 series, and Apple Vision Pro can also be transferred to the PICO 4 Ultra’s photo app for direct viewing. In the future, the PICO 4 Ultra will support spatial audio recording for spatial videos, enabling users to reproduce vivid moments with even greater realism.

The PICO 4 Ultra offers users a diverse MR/VR content experience and an increasingly expanded and open PICO content ecosystem. Currently, the PICO Store holds over 40 MR contents and more than 600 VR contents, including approximately 480 game contents, which make up the largest portion, as well as various genres such as video entertainment and productivity.

The PICO 4 Ultra allows users to enjoy not only PICO Store’s own game contents but also SteamVR game contents through PCVR. The PICO Store’s own game contents offer various genres ranging from puzzle games to SLG strategy games. Additionally, through PCVR, users can play SteamVR game contents on their PC with the PICO 4 Ultra, and with AV1 encoding support, they can enjoy ultra-high-definition game displays at 3K resolution.

Pre-orders for the PICO 4 Ultra start in Korea on September 9th at 2 PM for 799,000 KRW, and the PICO Motion Tracker is priced at 119,000 KRW. On September 19th at 8 PM during the Naver Live broadcast, customers can receive a set of PICO Motion Tracker worth approximately 220,000 KRW and three games (All in one Sports VR, After The Fall, Demeo) exclusively.
