Meritz Securities announced on the 13th that it will operate overseas stock, overseas derivatives, and Contract for Difference (CFD) desks 24 hours a day during the Chuseok holiday period to facilitate convenient overseas market trading for customers.
Meritz Securities customers can trade overseas stocks, overseas derivatives, and CFDs through the Home Trading Service (HTS), Mobile Trading Service (MTS), or by phone, as usual.
The countries where trading is available during the Chuseok holiday period include 18 countries such as the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Europe. However, the Chinese stock market will be closed from the 16th to the 17th due to the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, and the Hong Kong stock market will be closed for one day on the 18th. The Japanese stock market will also be closed on the 16th in observance of Respect for the Aged Day.
Meanwhile, the company is also running an event until the 20th for customers trading U.S. stocks, offering fractional shares of U.S. stocks. Customers holding Meritz Securities’ digital-only comprehensive investment account ‘Super365’ who trade more than 1 million KRW in U.S. stocks during the event period will be entered into a draw where 300 winners will receive one randomly selected fractional share worth approximately 10,000 KRW of Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, or Tesla.
Detailed information about the event can be obtained through the Meritz Securities website or customer support center.
