Public Recording of Yongsan-gu Edition at War Memorial on Next Month 5th
First-Come, First-Served Registration for 400 Participants from This Month 23rd to 26th
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will hold the 'KBS National Singing Contest' Yongsan-gu edition at 2 p.m. on the 5th of next month at the War Memorial of Korea (29 Itaewon-ro) Peace Plaza. This event is being held for the first time in 12 years since the 2012 Yongsan-gu edition.
Before the public recording on the day, the district will recruit 400 preliminary participants for the KBS National Singing Contest Yongsan-gu edition on a first-come, first-served basis over four days from the 23rd to the 26th of this month. Anyone who is a resident, worker, business owner, or student studying in Yongsan-gu can apply. However, professional singers are excluded.
Applicants can visit the Yongsan-gu Office Culture Promotion Division (150 Noksapyeong-daero, 5th floor) or local community service centers, or apply through the district office website from 9 a.m. on the 23rd to 6 p.m. on the 26th of this month.
The preliminary audition will be held from 1 p.m. on the 3rd of next month at the Yongsan Art Hall Grand Theater Mir (150 Noksapyeong-daero, Basement 2). On the day, through the first and second preliminary rounds, 15 to 16 final teams will be selected to compete in the finals on the 5th of next month. About 40 participants will advance to the second preliminary round from the first round, which is conducted a cappella. In the second preliminary round, participants will sing with accompaniment and can also showcase any prepared special skills at this time.
On the public recording day, December 5th, invited singers Ha Chun-hwa, Bae Il-ho, Kim Seong-hwan, Oh Yoo-jin, and Park Min-joo will take the stage to further elevate the atmosphere.
The KBS National Singing Contest Yongsan-gu edition will be broadcast on KBS1TV at 12:10 p.m. on December 1st.
