Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) will hold the music festival "2024 Yangcheon Rock (樂) Festival," filled with diverse performances by top domestic musicians such as Dynamic Duo, No Brain, Norazo, Geol Pak, and Boohwal, at Sinwol Baseball Stadium at 2:30 PM on the 28th of this month.

Now in its second year, the "Yangcheon Rock Festival" is a large-scale cultural festival first introduced in Sinwol-dong. It carries the meaning of providing a space open to all local residents and citizens affected by airport noise to enjoy music and fill their daily lives with joy.

This festival was selected for the Korea Airports Corporation's "Airport Noise Damage Support Public Project" and Seoul City's "Autonomous District Festival Support and Promotion Project," and will feature a richer lineup spanning various genres from rock music to hip-hop and indie, unfolding in two parts.

The first part is a rock (樂) festival targeting the youth, opening with a performance by "Geol Pak," who has gained overwhelming support from the MZ generation with his brilliant genius. Skilled bands "Na Sang-hyun Band" and the rookie band "The Bluff" will captivate the hearts of young audiences with their music.

The second part is a rock (Rock) festival enjoyed by all generations, featuring well-known representative Korean musicians who will keep the excitement going. Boohwal, who led the group sound trend; Dynamic Duo, an icon of Korean hip-hop; No Brain, the pride of the first-generation punk rock band; and Norazo, known for their powerful performances that bring joy, will perform popular songs to captivate visitors' eyes and ears.

The "2024 Yangcheon Rock Festival" is a free concert with all seats open, and admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis to up to 4,000 people starting at 1:50 PM on the 28th. Detailed information about the event can be found on the Yangcheon Cultural Foundation website.

Meanwhile, to ensure a safe festival, the district conducted joint safety inspections with related organizations such as the Yangcheon Police Station and Yangcheon Fire Station to prepare for hazards around the venue and accidents caused by crowd congestion. During the festival, on-site staff will be increased to secure the safety of attendees and minimize inconvenience to residents.

District Mayor Lee Gi-jae said, "I hope everyone enjoys happiness and joy in their daily lives at the Rock Festival, which was prepared to increase cultural enjoyment opportunities in the Sinwol-dong area and relieve the accumulated stress of residents caused by aircraft noise."
