On the 13th, LG Electronics announced that it held the "Special Meal Support for Chuseok with LG Electronics Employees" event on the 10th at Amsa Rehabilitation Center in Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Amsa Rehabilitation is a welfare facility for the disabled operated by the Korea Social Welfare Association. It provides a stable living environment, medical, and social rehabilitation services to children and adolescents with severe disabilities. Since 2014, LG Electronics has supported Amsa Rehabilitation Center for 10 years with special meals, donations of home appliances and usage education, and Children's Day events.

At the site, the "Life's Good Volunteer Group," composed of LG Electronics employees, had lunch with about 30 disabled children and adolescents belonging to Amsa Rehabilitation Center using food they prepared. They also carried out facility environment beautification activities. This activity was conducted with sponsorship funds from the "Donation Menu," which LG Electronics employees voluntarily collected. The Donation Menu, started in 2011, is a discounted meal plan provided on the second Wednesday of every even-numbered month at all domestic business site cafeterias. Each time an employee selects the menu, 500 KRW is accumulated and used for volunteer activities. The cumulative number of participants exceeded 670,000 as of last year. The accumulated funds amount to 300 million KRW.

The LG Electronics labor union also voluntarily supported marginalized groups as a corporate citizen. They delivered daily necessities worth about 40 million KRW to residents of 11 villages nationwide with which they have a one-company-one-village sisterhood relationship. Branches in Gumi, Changwon, and Pyeongtaek also conducted food support activities for marginalized groups such as low-income children and elderly living alone. The LG Electronics labor union was the first domestic company to declare the "USR" charter in 2010. It fulfills its responsibilities as a member of society not only by enhancing the rights and interests of union members but also across social, economic, and environmental areas.
