BNK Busan Bank Launches 'Dongbaekmangae' Sharing Project for Chuseok

Regional Gift Certificates Worth 500 Million Won Delivered at Busan City Hall

To Be Used to Support 10,000 Underprivileged Households in the Area

BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) delivered regional gift certificates worth a total of 500 million KRW to 10,000 underprivileged households through the Busan Community Chest of Korea at Busan City Hall on the 11th, as part of the 'Dongbaekmangae' sharing project for Chuseok.

Through the delivery ceremony, Busan Bank provided 'Dongbaekjeon prepaid cards' to 8,800 households in the Busan area and 'Onnuri traditional market gift certificates' to 1,200 households in the Gimhae and Yangsan areas. Each household will receive 50,000 KRW worth of gift certificates through their local community centers.

The 'Dongbaekmangae' sharing project has been supporting underprivileged groups since 2008 so they can spend warm holidays and year-ends, and the total cumulative amount donated so far has reached 14.4 billion KRW.

Busan Bank President Bang Seongbin said, "I hope that our neighbors in the region, who are going through tougher times than ever, can find some strength through the 'Dongbaekmangae' sharing project," and added, "Busan Bank will continue to take the lead in spreading a culture of donation through sincere social contribution activities for the community."

Busan Bank has designated the third Saturday of every month as 'Community Service Day' and continues to carry out volunteer activities in places in need across the 16 districts and counties of Busan. In August, about 400 employees participated in practical volunteer activities such as making fruit lunchboxes and eco-friendly mosquito repellents to help people stay healthy during the hot summer.
