S-OIL held a "Sharing Love Songpyeon" event for Chuseok on the 12th at its headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul, in collaboration with the Sarangui Jeonhwa Mapo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
On this day, the CEO and about 150 employees made 500 sets of Songpyeon worth approximately 60 million KRW and Chuseok gift packages, and personally delivered the gifts to low-income families recommended by the community centers in Gongdeok-dong and Dohwa-dong near the headquarters. In addition to employees, Saudi international students and children from nearby workplace daycare centers also participated in the volunteer activities, making it a more meaningful time shared with neighbors in the local community.
CEO Anwar Al Hizazi said, "I understand that Korea's Chuseok is a holiday to celebrate the autumn harvest and share food with neighbors," adding, "I hope that through S-OIL's sincerity, the neighbors in the local community who are facing difficulties will gain strength and have a warm holiday."
Since 2007, S-OIL has been consistently carrying out sharing activities through the Love Songpyeon Sharing volunteer work every Chuseok season to help neighbors have a warm holiday.
