Busan Transportation Corporation Launches Anti-Corruption Integrity Week

Promoting Integrity Culture at Home and Abroad

Integrity Four-Cuts, Integrity Special Lectures, Integrity Plogging, and More

Busan Transportation Corporation is operating the 'Clean Humetro Integrity Week' for two weeks from the 2nd to the 13th, with participation from all employees.

The Clean Humetro Integrity Week is one of the corporation's ethical management initiatives, aiming to prevent corruption incidents by intensively conducting various activities to spread a culture of integrity both internally and externally. This program has been held annually since 2022.

This year's Integrity Week especially emphasizes intergenerational communication and understanding the culture of younger employees, as over 40% of the corporation's staff are in their 20s and 30s. The program was designed to encourage participation and mutual understanding among employees of all ages.

Through the 'Integrity Four-Cut Photo' event, the corporation sought to raise employees' interest in integrity and promote communication among staff. President Lee Byungjin also held a special lecture on integrity for 100 employees from the MZ generation, sharing the corporation's code of conduct and his own experiences related to integrity during his public service career.

Additionally, the Integrity Golden Bell event provided an opportunity for participants to learn about anti-corruption laws and various integrity-related knowledge in a fun quiz format.

Moreover, in collaboration with the environmental organization 'Jigureul Dakkneun Saramdeul,' a plogging event was held, with 50 participants, including citizens and corporation employees, walking through the Seomyeon, Jeonpo, and Beomnaegol areas to promote environmental cleanup and a culture of integrity.

During this period, video messages from executives pledging their commitment to integrity were broadcast internally to communicate the strong will for integrity from top management. The corporation is also operating direct corruption reporting channels for the standing auditor and integrity citizen auditor, as well as conducting on-site integrity activities by auditors, to further spread a culture of integrity throughout the organization.

Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, stated, "Integrity is not something to be delivered unilaterally; it is a culture that is naturally acquired by experiencing it in a fun and direct way. We will not be complacent with last year's achievement of the highest integrity rating, but will continue to do our utmost to ensure that all executives and employees work transparently and with integrity to earn the trust of our citizens."
