From the 13th, Tap the Climate Companion Card and Get Off at Airport Railroad Incheon Airport Terminal 1·2 Stations

Airport Railroad announced on the 12th that from the 13th, passengers will be able to alight at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2 stations using the Climate Companion Card.

The Climate Companion Card is an eco-friendly public transportation card introduced by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, currently usable on Seoul area subways, the Gimpo Gold Line, and Seoul city and village buses.

Previously, the Climate Companion Card could only be used for boarding and alighting on the Airport Railroad section between Seoul Station and Gimpo Airport Station. On other sections, such as between Gyeyang Station and Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2 stations, passengers could not board using the Climate Companion Card, and even if they boarded in the Seoul area using the card, they had to settle fares with a separate transportation card when alighting, causing inconvenience.

This expansion of alighting service at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2 stations was implemented through active consultation between Airport Railroad and the Seoul Metropolitan Government to enhance convenience not only for citizens using Incheon International Airport but also for foreign travelers using domestic public transportation services.

Accordingly, from the 13th, customers who board within the service area using the Climate Companion Card will be able to alight at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2 stations without any separate fare settlement process. Additionally, no extra fare will be charged when using Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2.

An Airport Railroad official stated, "The expansion of the Climate Companion Card alighting service will greatly alleviate inconveniences for users of the Climate Companion Card," and added, "We will continue to prioritize the convenience of domestic and international customers and steadily improve various services."
