Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) is recruiting students on a first-come, first-served basis to participate in the ‘2024 Dongdaemun Women’s Academy Financial Technology Concert.’

The Dongdaemun Women’s Academy is a program that provides learning opportunities for women residing in Dongdaemun-gu to satisfy their intellectual needs, enhance social skills, and contribute to community participation and development.

This Women’s Academy is organized in the form of a financial technology concert. Lectures will be held every Thursday from October 10 to November 28 at the Seoul Lifelong Education Center of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

Popular instructors, including the operators of YouTube channels ‘Channel Genesis Park’ and ‘Statistics Major Gwanghwamun Financialer,’ will participate and cover various topics such as ▲financial technology and financial knowledge ▲real estate auction knowledge ▲loss-free investment methods ▲analysis of Seoul apartment locations.

Any woman aged 18 or older residing in Dongdaemun-gu can apply, with 30 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. The tuition fee is 30,000 KRW, but it is waived for national merit recipients and their families, as well as basic livelihood security recipients. Persons with disabilities, single-parent families, holders of the Multi-child Happiness Card, and those aged 65 or older are eligible for a 50% discount.

Applications are accepted until September 30, and inquiries can be made through the Dongdaemun-gu website or the Childcare and Women’s Division.

Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “As a women-friendly city, Dongdaemun-gu is implementing various policies to ensure that women can live safe and happy lives,” adding, “We hope participants will enhance their asset management skills and gain valuable information through this education.”
