From Bowling to Badminton... Mapo-gu Public Gymnasium Open During Chuseok Holiday

Full Opening of 5 District-Run Gyms Including Mapo District Sports Center from 16th to 18th
Enjoy Various Activities Such as Bowling, Badminton, Fitness Center, and Table Tennis

Mapo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Gang-su) will open public gymnasiums from September 16 to 18 during the Chuseok holiday period.

Five gymnasiums, including Mapo-gu Community Sports Center, Yeomni Life Sports Gymnasium, Seongmisan Gymnasium, Mangwon Nadeulmok Gymnasium, and Wausan Badminton Court, will be open as usual during the Chuseok holiday, allowing residents to spend healthy time engaging in various sports activities such as bowling, badminton, and table tennis.

The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and anyone who purchases a one-day pass can use the facilities. Normal operations will be maintained on September 14 and 15.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, is bowling to celebrate the reopening of the bowling alley at the Mapo District Sports Center.

At Mapo-gu Community Sports Center, users can access the gym, bowling alley, table tennis courts, and badminton courts. The price for a one-day pass is 4,000 KRW for the gym (adults), 3,000 KRW for table tennis and badminton courts, and 3,500 KRW for the bowling alley.

At Yeomni Life Sports Gymnasium and Seongmisan Gymnasium, the badminton courts are available for 3,000 KRW for adults, and at Mangwon Nadeulmok Gymnasium, the gym and badminton courts are each open for 3,000 KRW.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “I hope residents can enjoy their time using the public gymnasiums during this Chuseok holiday as well,” and added, “I recommend experiencing the charm of the lively sound of bowling pins at Mapo-gu Community Sports Center, which has Seoul’s first public bowling alley (20 lanes), together with family, friends, and loved ones.”
