Party-Government Cooperation Agreed for Major Projects Including Subway Lines 3, 9, Wisin Line, and K-Star World
Hanam City and the People Power Party's Hanam City Gap and Eul Party Member Councils held their first party-government consultation meeting to discuss local issues, followed by a commemorative photo. Gyeonggi Hanam City and the People Power Party's Hanam City Gap and Eul Party Member Councils held their first party-government council meeting to discuss local issues. They agreed to actively cooperate to promptly resolve key transportation and economic issues such as the early groundbreaking and support for express and local train operations on the Misa section of Subway Line 9, early opening of Subway Line 3, extension of the Wirye-Sinsa Line to Hanam, and development projects like K-Star World and Camp Colbern.
According to Hanam City on the 11th, the party-government council meeting was attended by Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, People Power Party Hanam City Gap Chairman Lee Yong, Hanam City Eul Chairman Lee Chang-geun, Hanam City Council Chairman Geum Gwang-yeon, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member Yoon Tae-gil, and Hanam City Council members Lim Hee-do and Park Sun-mi.
Lee Yong, Chairman of the Hanam City Gap Party Council, said, "Our Hanam City is attempting to transform into a global international city that creates economic effects by linking culture and industry," adding, "The party will also have a strong will and actively cooperate for the development of Hanam City."
Lee Chang-geun, Chairman of the Hanam City Eul Party Council, emphasized, "I hope to support Mayor Lee Hyun-jae’s administration and actively assist key projects to achieve results one by one," and added, "Especially, I hope to increase companies and jobs to realize administrative development that citizens can feel."
At this party-government council meeting, held for the first time since the launch of the 8th local government, the focus was on discussing measures to promote key projects such as △ early groundbreaking and support for express and local train operations on the Misa section of Subway Line 9 △ early opening of Subway Line 3 △ extension of the Wirye-Sinsa Line to Hanam △ development of K-Star World (Misa Island) △ Camp Colbern urban development project.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae stated, “We will accelerate the resolution of key issues through strengthened party-government cooperation,” and added, “Regarding the extension of Subway Line 9, we will promote early groundbreaking, prompt opening, and simultaneous operation of express and local trains based on consultations with Gyeonggi Province, Seoul City, and Gangdong District.”
He continued, “Regarding Subway Line 3, efforts are being made for early opening, and the location of Station 104 (Sindeokpung Station) is being discussed with relevant organizations such as the Daegwang Commission and Gyeonggi Province to improve accessibility to the old downtown area and enable vertical connection with the Dream Rest Area transfer facility.”
