Hanam City Council Conducts Anti-Corruption and Integrity Education

This integrity training was led by Attorney Kim Hyoson from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute, who gave a lecture on the "Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest of Public Officials," the "Act on the Prohibition of Improper Solicitation and Graft," and related laws.

Afterwards, the council members signed the "Integrity Pledge," declaring that they will △ comply with laws and principles and take the lead in realizing a clean society △ perform their duties fairly and transparently to protect the public interest △ refrain from accepting money, entertainment, abusing authority, intervening in vested interests, or soliciting favors using their positions △ not use knowledge and experience gained while performing public duties for private gain, and promised to take the lead in establishing an honest council.

Chairman Geum Gwang-yeon stated, “The Hanam City Council will fulfill its basic legal obligations such as completing integrity training, continuously promote anti-corruption prevention activities and education to improve integrity, and make greater efforts to become a trusted and honest council as community leaders and representatives of residents. We will take the lead in realizing a council trusted by citizens through transparent legislative activities.”
