According to the legal community on the 11th, the Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Chu Hye-yoon) summarily indicted Suga on the previous day with a fine of 15 million won for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving). A summary indictment is a disposition that requests the court to impose a fine or penalty without a formal trial through a written review for relatively minor offenses.

Suga was handed over to the prosecution on the charge of riding an electric scooter while intoxicated on the street in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at around 11:15 p.m. on the 6th of last month. At the time of the incident, Suga's blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.227%, about three times the license cancellation standard (0.08%).

Suga appeared for police questioning on the 23rd of last month and admitted to the charges. At that time, Suga told reporters, "I am reflecting and regretting," and added, "I want to sincerely apologize for causing much hurt and disappointment due to my wrong actions."
