Incheon City announced on the 11th that it will advance the payment of the September livelihood benefits before the Chuseok holiday to promote the living stability of basic livelihood security recipients.
This is a follow-up measure to President Yoon Seok-yeol's announcement at the 'Public Livelihood Discussion' held on the 5th, where he stated that livelihood benefits would be paid early to 1.67 million recipients before Chuseok. It is being implemented promptly considering the consumption expenditures of the recipients.
Accordingly, Incheon City plans to pay livelihood benefits before Chuseok to 113,000 recipients (87,000 households) whose income is within 32% of the median income. The payment amount will vary depending on the recipient's household size and recognized income.
An official from Incheon City stated, "To facilitate early payment of livelihood benefits, we will shorten the verification process period and cooperate with relevant district and county departments to complete the payment by the 13th."
