Dong-A University Successfully Hosts 'University-Central Government-Local Government Joint Job Fair'

Co-hosted by Ministry of Personnel Management and Saha-gu Office, with Over 2,000 Participants

More than 50 Companies Including Hyundai Motor Provide Promotion and Consulting

Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) successfully hosted the "Job Fair Co-hosted by University and Local Government" in collaboration with the Ministry of Personnel Management and Saha-gu Office in Busan.

The job fair, which attracted over 2,000 job seekers, was organized by the Ministry of Personnel Management, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, Busan City Hall, Dong-A University Alumni Association (President Shin Jungtaek, CEO of Sewoon Steel) and Dong-A University Student Council (President Kim Hogeun), with sponsorship from the Korea TOEIC Committee.

The fair, held on June 10 at the Dong-A University Seunghak Campus Gymnasium, featured over 50 companies, including public enterprises such as Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea National Oil Corporation, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Korea Southern Power, and Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement; financial institutions such as IBK Industrial Bank, Shinhan Bank, Busan Bank, and Hana Bank; major corporations such as Ecopro BM, Hyundai Motor, Korean Air, and CJ CheilJedang; as well as leading companies from the Busan area such as Air Busan, Oriental Precision & Engineering, and Sejung.

In addition, companies operated by Dong-A University alumni, such as Nexen (Chairman Kang Byungjung), Eunsan Shipping & Air (Chairman Yang Jaesaeng), and Kyungdong Construction (Chairman Kim Jaejin), also participated.

The event featured various sections, including a company promotion and recruitment booth, English and Korean resume and self-introduction letter consulting, an auxiliary event zone, and an event zone. In the event zone, programs such as self-introduction letter workshops, personal color diagnosis, interview makeup, and free TOEIC test vouchers were offered, attracting much attention.

President Lee stated, "I hope this job fair has become a venue for outstanding companies and young people to meet. It is meaningful that the university and local government are working together to introduce excellent local companies to young people and connect companies with talented youth."

Choi Seungwon (senior, Department of Electrical Engineering), who participated in the event, said, "I was very pleased because many companies I wanted to learn about were present. There are not many opportunities to communicate directly with HR managers, but this event allowed me to resolve my questions. I hope there will be more opportunities like this in the future."

Shin Yongtaek, Director of the Dong-A University Career Plus Center (Dean of Student and Career Support), who organized the event, said, "We are holding various career and employment support events, including this job fair, so I hope many students will take an interest."
