Mayor Park Namseo Visits High-Tech Bearing Technology Center
Sharing Solutions for Attracting Companies to the Bearing National Industrial Complex
Yeongju City held the "On-site Communication Run to You" event on the 10th at the High-Tech Bearing Technology Center, bringing together 13 researchers from local research institutes under the theme, "Attracting Companies to the Bearing National Industrial Complex: Finding Solutions through Collaboration with Local Research Institutes."
"On-site Communication Run to You" is Yeongju City's flagship channel for direct communication with citizens, where the mayor personally visits key policy sites or places related to public livelihood to listen to voices from the field and discuss municipal issues.
The High-Tech Bearing Technology Center (Director Kim Jonghyeong) and the Lightweight Materials Convergence Technology Center (Director Kim Giyoung) are leading local research institutes that support corporate growth and contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technology in the region.
This meeting was organized to find solutions for attracting companies to the Bearing National Industrial Complex, which is expected to become a new growth engine for the local economy, through open communication and collaboration with regional research institutes.
During the communication session, participants freely expressed their candid opinions in an informal and open atmosphere.
Various proposals were made to create Yeongju as an attractive business city that draws in companies, including: establishing a customized support system for companies throughout their entire lifecycle, cultivating specialized talent, securing research and development budgets, strengthening industry-academia-government networking, and improving the residential environment for workers.
Mayor Park Namseo of Yeongju said, "I would like to once again thank the researchers at local research institutes for their dedication to regional industrial development and corporate support," adding, "We will further strengthen unity and cooperation with these institutes and do our utmost to attract companies to the Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex, which will become a new driving force for Yeongju's development."
Mayor Park also visited the Manufacturing Support Building at the High-Tech Bearing Technology Center, which was completed last August, to inspect the site and encourage the researchers who are quietly working for the development of local companies.
Since May, the city has been holding the "Open Mayor's Office" every month. In July, the mayor served as the "One-Day Civil Affairs Office Chief," meeting residents directly at township and neighborhood administrative welfare centers to listen to local issues and suggestions and seek solutions through the "Citizen Happiness Civil Affairs Office."
The city plans to swiftly reflect the diverse opinions gathered through on-the-ground communication channels such as the "365 Open Mayor's Office," "On-site Communication Run to You," and "Citizen Happiness Civil Affairs Office" into its policies, realizing an open, citizen-centered administration.
Mayor Namseo Park is continuing on-site communication by visiting the High-Tech Bearing Technology Center.
