Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) will hold the "Youth Week Event: Youth, Spread Your Wings and Fly" from the 21st to the 30th of this month in celebration of Youth Day on the 21st. The event features popular influencer lectures on asset management and workplace tips, special employment lectures, and youth concerts.
This program is designed to address practical issues faced by young people such as employment, housing, and marriage, helping them to overcome challenges and soar towards their dreams.
The Youth Policy Expo will be held from the 27th to the 29th at the Seoul Youth Center Yangcheon. The expo will operate customized consultation booths covering various fields including finance, housing, and culture, providing comprehensive counseling on youth policies.
Famous influencers such as ▲Ssofi (270,000 followers), ▲Ahn Jung-eun (Korea’s youngest runner to complete the world’s six major marathons and a running evangelist), and ▲Jachwi-nam (operator of a YouTube channel with 760,000 subscribers) among five speakers will share practical tips on workplace life, financial management, housing preparation, mental health, and hobbies.
Additionally, musicians like Choi Hae-deun and The Ade, along with youth artists from Yangcheon-gu, will perform at the youth concert. Various experiential events such as quiz competitions, healing one-day classes, and play zones will also be available.
On the 21st and 28th, employment special lectures and job talk concerts (Job Get 多) will be held at the Yangcheon Youth Job Cafe, featuring Y-Employment mentors composed of current employees from various fields. Participants can learn employment secrets from seniors and gain practical information through communication with company insiders.
Other side events include self-interview makeup and hairstyling lectures, personal color diagnosis and consulting, and one-on-one career counseling using MBTI tests. On the 30th, a "chat GPT lecture" will be held to teach how to utilize generative AI, a core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The event is open to all youth aged 19 to 39, and those interested can apply in advance online for each program.
Mayor Lee Gi-jae stated, "I hope this Youth Policy Expo will be an opportunity for young people to overcome various practical difficulties they face and take a leap forward toward their dreams. We will continue to discover and promote various customized policies so that young people can realize their dreams."
