Hamyang County Holds Progress Briefing on Sansam Festival Promotion

Hamyang County Governor Jin Byungyoung Orders Focused Administrative Efforts on Event Venue Development Plans

Hamyang County, Gyeongnam, announced on the 11th that it held a departmental coordination and progress report meeting in the main conference room of the county office to ensure the successful hosting of the 19th Hamyang Sansam Festival, which will take place from October 3 to 9 at the Sangnim Park area.

The meeting was attended by over 60 people, including County Mayor Jin Byeongyeong, Deputy Mayor Jo Yeomun, Festival Committee Chair Lee Hyunjae and committee members, representatives from the event agency, and department heads and staff. The session began with a presentation on the festival site planning by Festival Committee General Director Jeong Cheolsang, followed by the event agency's festival implementation plan, departmental coordination reports, and a discussion session.

Kim Boksoo, head of the Sansam Anti-Aging Department and main organizer of the festival, gave a comprehensive report outlining the all-out promotional efforts, special events such as "Find the Golden Sansam," the unique design of the Sansam Pavilion, drone and fireworks shows, the establishment of an integrated information system using a media wall, and improved traffic management measures. He highlighted the differences from previous festivals and requested cooperation from all departments for a successful event.

After the reports, Mayor Jin presided over a Q&A and discussion on areas for improvement, urging, "In order to ensure the successful hosting of the festival, I hope all administrative resources are mobilized in each department's preparations so that we can not only satisfy visitors but also contribute to revitalizing the local economy."

Meanwhile, the 19th Hamyang Sansam Festival, under the theme "Fall in Love with Hamyang, Fall for Sansam," is scheduled to take place for seven days from October 3 to 9 at the Sangnim Park area in Hamyang.
