Moloco was founded in 2013 in Silicon Valley, USA. The company provides personalized advertising solutions by utilizing user data owned by enterprises. It became the first Korean-founded Silicon Valley startup to be recognized as a unicorn with a corporate valuation of $1 billion (approximately 1 trillion KRW). In 2021, it applied Google's Transformer model, the foundation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, to its advertising solutions, and earlier this year, it introduced Google's AI-dedicated chip TPU, continuously investing in machine learning technology.

CEO An emphasized, "After launching Moloco Ads, a machine learning-based solution, we have proven that this technology can actually help generate revenue." Moloco Ads can simultaneously deliver ads to 7 billion devices worldwide daily. The number of daily ad requests processed reaches 600 billion, and the number of reachable apps is up to 3 million.

Both the company and advertisers have shown rapid growth through machine learning technology. Moloco's revenue increased 100-fold from 15 billion KRW in 2020 to 1.5 trillion KRW this year, and the number of advertisers has grown 15 times to over 2,000 companies. It is explained that the 1.5 trillion KRW paid by advertisers to Moloco Ads generates 4.5 trillion KRW in revenue, contributing to profit creation.

Going forward, Moloco plans to target streaming platforms and the commerce sector beyond the app business. Although streaming services have grown rapidly, only some big tech companies such as YouTube and Netflix convert data into advertising revenue. In response, Moloco provides personalized ads for each viewer through a machine learning-based advertising model for streaming platforms. Moloco also introduced Moloco Commerce Media for commerce platforms. Since commerce media such as Amazon, Coupang, and Yogiyo represent the fastest-growing advertising market, Moloco plans to increase sales and contribute to brand building through personalized advertising.
