Experience the World’s Top Three Natural Medicines and Global Wellness Brands
Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province will host the "Yeongdeok International H Wellness Festa 2024" from October 3 to 6 at the Goraebul National Campsite. This event will feature experiences in wellness that combine the world’s three major natural medicines, as well as a lifestyle expo with participation from a variety of domestic and international companies.
Jointly organized by North Gyeongsang Province and Yeongdeok County, and hosted by the Yeongdeok Culture & Tourism Foundation, the "Yeongdeok International H Wellness Festa 2024" is an international event that brings together reputable organizations such as the Association of Korean Medicine, the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, the All India Ayurveda Congress, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and other renowned institutions and companies from Korea and abroad.
The event program consists of three main parts: the opening ceremony, wellness experiences, and the Wellness Life Expo. The opening ceremony will feature an Indian traditional dance performance with the audience, a joint performance of nature-inspired musical instruments, a wellness talk concert, and a walking event along Goraebul Beach.
During the festival, a total of 105 booths will continuously offer wellness experience programs. These include wellness medical experiences that promote a healthier life through traditional medicine such as Korean medicine, Indian Ayurveda, and German Kneipp therapy; a food market where visitors can purchase wellness foods, beauty products, and goods; and a variety of cultural events such as joint performances by Korean and Indian artists and an Indian folk painting invitational exhibition.
Additionally, a separate relaxation zone will be set up for wellness nature healing activities, including forest naps, relaxation meditation, yoga, barefoot walking on the beach, zoning out, and camping, all of which will be available throughout the festival.
The Wellness Life Expo will also run throughout the festival period, offering visitors a chance to see and experience products from leading companies representing countries such as India, Japan, and Germany. The event aims to facilitate international exchange and cooperation for the development of the wellness industry through networking, thematic presentations and discussions in the wellness field, and demonstrations of integrated Korean medicine and Ayurveda practices-all taking place in Yeongdeok County.
Previously, Yeongdeok County signed business agreements with 24 domestic and international organizations to ensure the successful hosting of the festival and to promote the development of the wellness industry. These agreements cover areas such as promotion, talent development, educational advancement, and content development.
