Foreigners and Institutions Also Net Selling on KOSDAQ
On the 10th, the KOSPI started higher but soon turned downward. Samsung Electronics also began on a decline and extended its losses, falling to 66,500 won.
At 9:11 a.m., the KOSPI was at 2,531.55, down 0.17% (4.38 points) from the previous day. The index opened at 2,542.69, up 0.27% (6.76 points) from the previous close.
Foreign investors and institutions are pulling the index down with net sales of 179.5 billion won and 61.8 billion won, respectively. Individual investors are the only net buyers, purchasing 236.7 billion won. In the futures market, only foreign investors are selling, offloading 136.8 billion won, while individuals and institutions are buying 78.7 billion won and 82.4 billion won, respectively.
The top 10 stocks by market capitalization show mixed trends. LG Energy Solution is down 1.63%, Samsung Electronics -1.04%, Shinhan Financial Group -0.71%, Hyundai Motor -0.65%, and Kia -0.50%. Samsung Biologics stands out with a 1.76% gain.
At 9:16 a.m., the KOSDAQ was trading at 711.85, down 0.37% (2.61 points) from the previous day. It opened at 717.97, up 0.49% (3.51 points) from the previous close. Foreign investors and institutions are also net sellers on the KOSDAQ, with sales of 85.6 billion won and 43.3 billion won, respectively. Only individual investors are net buyers, purchasing 128.9 billion won.
Among the top 10 KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization, only Classys (+4.95%), Enchem (+2.21%), and EcoPro BM (+0.13%) are rising. HLB (-1.66%) and Ligand ChemBio (-1.14%) are showing notable declines.
