Old Sacheondaero Retaining Wall Transformed into a Bright New Image
The area around Sacheon-eup, including Sacheon IC, the gateway to Sacheon City, the aerospace capital of Korea, will be developed into an aerospace-themed street.
According to Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, on the 10th, the city is conducting a service for the "Basic Landscape Plan for Sacheon City with a Target Year of 2035, Public Design Promotion Plan, and Urban Design Development Project Plan."
This initiative is being pursued to preserve excellent urban landscapes and discover unique features in response to changes in the city.
The goal of this project is to create an aerospace-themed street along the Sacheon IC?Aerospace Administration?City Hall section, and to harmoniously blend the beautiful natural scenery with the urban environment in the eastern area.
Accordingly, the city invested 50 million won and completed the improvement project for the retaining wall landscape on Sacheon-daero, opposite the Air Force base in Sacheon-eup, on the 6th. As this retaining wall is located at the gateway to Sacheon, it is an important facility that shapes the first impression of the city.
The renovation transformed the old roadside retaining wall into a dynamic representation of Sacheon, the aerospace capital, receiving enthusiastic responses from citizens and tourists alike.
In particular, the city is also carrying out a project to improve the exterior wall landscape of the Air Force base on Sacheon-daero. This project, with a budget of 300 million won, is scheduled for completion in the second half of this year.
This area will be transformed into a street that is even more beautiful at night, with LED lighting featuring a spaceship powerfully launching into space and stars adorning the night sky.
Mayor Park Dongsik said, "I hope this area will be reborn as a local landmark with beautiful urban landscapes where culture, arts, and tourism harmoniously blend," and added, "We will continue to enhance the city's brand value and strive to create vibrant landscapes throughout the streets."
