On the morning of the 7th, Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District Office, participated in the 'Making Songpyeon for Chuseok' volunteer event held at the district office cafeteria ahead of the Chuseok holiday, practicing love for neighbors.
The 'Making Songpyeon for Chuseok' volunteer event was organized to deliver songpyeon to socially marginalized groups during the Chuseok holiday and to care for neighbors in the community.
On this day, participants including Mayor Choi Ho-kwon, families from local children's centers, and members of the Volunteer Association made songpyeon by hand to share with neighbors. The completed songpyeon was delivered to 300 households.
Mayor Choi Ho-kwon of Yeongdeungpo District said, "Ahead of Chuseok, we prepared this 'Making Songpyeon' volunteer event with the hope that socially marginalized neighbors can spend the holiday warmly," and added, "We will continue to carefully look after those in need and strive to make Yeongdeungpo a warm district that walks alongside the vulnerable."
