They continued, "We are looking for victims related to the special effects accident that occurred during the One Summer Night performance on the 6th, so please contact the secretariat."

Earlier, around 9:29 PM the previous day, some fireworks set off during a performance at the 20th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival held at Cheongpung Land in Cheongpung-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungbuk, flew into the audience seats.

As a result of this accident, Mr. A (in his 40s) and Ms. B (15 years old) suffered minor burns on their faces and necks and were transported to the hospital by the 119 emergency medical team, while 14 other audience members went to the hospital by private car for treatment.

It was reported that about 2,500 spectators gathered for this paid event.

The fire department estimated that the accident occurred because some fireworks set off by the event organizers during the performance flew toward the audience. The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.

The organizers plan to proceed with the One Summer Night performance on the second day of the festival as scheduled. However, special effects will be excluded and the event will be conducted safely.

A representative of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival said, "The police took the festival’s special effects manager for voluntary accompaniment to investigate the accident."

Meanwhile, the 20th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival opened on the 5th at 7 PM with an opening ceremony at the Jecheon Arts Center and began its six-day schedule.
