Masan Happo-gu, a district of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, announced on the 6th that the Masan Jungang High School Alumni Association donated 100 blankets to help neighbors in need in celebration of the school's 50th anniversary.
Lee Seungyeon, president of the Alumni Association, said, "Thanks to the hard work of our alumni, both seniors and juniors, and the faculty who have strived to make our school a prestigious institution in the region, we have now reached our 50th anniversary. I hope that the 100 blankets we prepared with hope for the next 100 years will be delivered well to those in need."
Bae Gicheol, head of the Social Welfare Division, said, "Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the school's founding. I am grateful for the warm hearts of those who think of neighbors in need in our community ahead of the Chuseok holiday," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that the precious intentions of the alumni are delivered well."
Meanwhile, the 100 blankets prepared this time will be delivered to neighbors in need within Masan Happo-gu and to fish market merchants who have recently suffered from fire damage and are in grief, ahead of the upcoming holiday.
