The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries held the 'Chuseok Livelihood Gift Set Promotion and Agricultural and Marine Products Consumption Promotion Event' on the 6th in front of the 1st floor of Building 5 at the Government Sejong Complex with the Agricultural and Fisheries Cooperatives.

This event was held to reduce the burden of holiday gift expenses and promote the consumption of agricultural and marine products. The gift sets for sale consist of agricultural and marine products produced by our farmers and fishermen, including rice and rice processed foods, Korean beef, fruits, abalone, dried yellow corvina, and anchovies.

The ministers of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries visited the event booths, purchased products, and delivered messages of support.

Song Mi-ryeong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "With Chuseok just ten days away, we will ensure that key tasks for stabilizing livelihood prices, such as plans to expand the supply of major agricultural and livestock products and consumer discount support of up to 50%, are carried out without fail," adding, "We will contribute to alleviating the burden of Chuseok shopping basket prices."
