Actors Park Bo-young and Ahn Jae-hong to Host Opening Ceremony of Busan International Film Festival

Opening at the Busan Cinema Center on the 2nd of next month

Actors Park Bo-young and Ahn Jae-hong will host this year's Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) opening ceremony. The BIFF Organizing Committee announced on the 6th that the two actors were selected as hosts for the opening ceremony, which will be held at 7 p.m. on the 2nd of next month at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center.

Park Bo-young debuted in 2006 with the drama "Secret Campus." She gained fame through the film "Speed Scandal (2008)" and has been recognized for her acting skills in various films and dramas, including "A Werewolf Boy (2012)," "Oh My Ghost (2015)," "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon (2017)," "On Your Wedding Day (2018)," and "Concrete Utopia (2023)."


Ahn Jae-hong drew attention in Chungmuro with the film "The King of Jokgu (2014)." He received much love for his unique characters in dramas such as "Reply 1988 (2015?2016)," "Fight for My Way (2017)," and "Be Melodramatic (2019)." Recently, he showcased a bold acting transformation in the drama "Mask Girl (2023)," winning awards including the Blue Dragon Series Awards Best Supporting Actor, Baeksang Arts Awards TV Male Supporting Actor, and Directors Cut Awards Series Male Actor of the Year.


This year’s Busan International Film Festival will open on the 2nd of next month. Over ten days, 224 films will be screened at seven theaters including the Busan Cinema Center.
