About 1,900 People Gather for a Time of Communication and Unity
The Changwon Special City Village and Neighborhood Leaders Association in Gyeongnam held the 2024 Changwon Special City Village and Neighborhood Leaders One-Heart Culture Day on the 6th at the Seongsan Art Hall Grand Theater.
This year, for the first time, the annual event, which was previously held in the format of a sports competition, was organized as a cultural event featuring performances by invited singers that everyone could enjoy, as well as award presentations to village and neighborhood leaders who have contributed to the development of the local community through their volunteer work.
About 50 guests, including Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo, National Assembly member Kim Jongyang, Changwon Special City Council Chairperson Son Taehwa, as well as provincial and city councilors and other distinguished guests, attended the event to express their gratitude to the approximately 1,900 village and neighborhood leaders who diligently fulfill their duties at the forefront of administration.
Kim Yongsaeng, President of the Village and Neighborhood Leaders Association, said, "I hope that the village and neighborhood leaders of Changwon Special City will become proud representatives who empathize with citizens and work together. As all the leaders from 55 towns and neighborhoods have gathered here today, I hope this will be an opportunity to recharge, unite as one, and continue to do your best for the development of city administration."
Mayor Hong stated, "I am grateful for the hard work of the village and neighborhood leaders who are working tirelessly for regional development. Going forward, I will do my utmost to bring about concrete and practical changes close to the daily lives of citizens."
