Now in its second year with support from Busan City, the Global Broadcasting and Video Symposium is the only broadcasting and video symposium in the Busan-Gyeongnam region. The event aims to promote the production of glocal video content and provide professional knowledge and insights to industry, academia, government officials, as well as students and citizens aspiring to work in the broadcasting and video sector.
This year’s event will feature a keynote lecture on media communication strategies by Kim Daekyung, Professor of Media and Communication at Dong-A University. In the following Expert Session 1, Seo Hyesung, CP at Channel A and director of shows such as Kangcheolbudae, and Jeong Haewon, Professor at Kosin University and former Cheil Worldwide copywriter who won the Korea Advertising Awards, will give a talk on "Video/Advertising Communication and Creative Strategies."

Gong Jihun, Director of the Busan Youth Policy Research Institute, the co-organizer in charge of overall business, commented on this year's event, “We focused on inviting experts from as many fields of broadcasting and video as possible. In particular, we aimed to structure the lectures and discussions to help young people and teenagers aspiring to become future experts in the field explore their career paths and resolve their questions.”
To ensure the successful hosting of the event, the Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum appointed professors from broadcasting and video-related departments at universities in Busan as advisory committee members last year and this year, and in August, teachers from specialized high schools in the broadcasting and video field were appointed as responsible committee members, making efforts to encourage participation from a wider range of citizens.
Kim Chiyong, Chairman of the Busan Broadcasting and Video Forum, said, “Through such international events, we aim to invigorate the infrastructure of the broadcasting and video sector and contribute to Busan’s realization as a global hub city.”
This event will take place on Friday, September 27, from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Ocean Hall, Busan Bank Headquarters in Munhyeon-dong, with seat allocation and entry starting at 1 PM.
