Daegu City Council Forms 'TK Administrative Integration Special Committee'... Cho Kyunggu Elected as Chair

The Daegu Metropolitan Council held a plenary session on the 6th, formed the "Daegu-Gyeongbuk Administrative Integration Special Committee," and elected Cho Kyunggu (People Power Party, Suseong District) as the chairperson.

The Daegu Metropolitan Council stated, "To overcome issues such as the concentration in the capital area, the crisis of local extinction, and prolonged regional low growth, and to form a local economic sphere with global competitiveness and achieve balanced national development, we are forming a special committee to pursue the administrative integration of Daegu and Gyeongbuk."

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Administrative Integration Special Committee of the Daegu Metropolitan Council is scheduled to operate for 22 months until the end of June 2026.
