ASML Korea announced on the 6th that it was selected as a 2024 Korea's Best Workplace for Jobs. This marks the third consecutive year since 2022. The Korea's Best Workplace for Jobs is a system awarded by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to companies that contribute to job creation and improvement of job quality.
ASML Korea stated that it has consistently hired new personnel. It also extended the statutory retirement age to ensure employment stability. In terms of work-family balance, flexible work systems and telecommuting were flexibly introduced.
In particular, since last year, the company has strengthened maternity protection and support for vulnerable groups to reduce the burden of childbirth and childcare on employees.
They provided pregnancy congratulatory gifts, increased childbirth congratulatory money, paid leave and treatment cost support for infertility treatment, expanded telecommuting days during pregnancy up to four days a week, established congratulatory money systems for elementary, middle, and high school children’s school entrance, and supported rehabilitation special expenses for children with disabilities.
To help employees with housing stability and economic independence, they operated housing cost support programs, welfare points systems, anniversary leave and points systems, and an Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
Sunny Stalnaker, CEO of ASML Korea, said, "ASML Korea has provided top-level compensation in the semiconductor industry and various welfare benefits. We will continue to grow together with our employees and lead the development of the domestic semiconductor ecosystem."
ASML Korea also stated that it is conducting related activities to promote talent development in the semiconductor field. In June, it held a 'Global Mentoring' event for about 100 female university and graduate students majoring in science and engineering in collaboration with the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. Last month, it held the 'ASML Korea Tech Talk' to introduce ASML technology to university and graduate students.
