Gyeonggi-do to Host Severe Disability Products Expo on the 5th

Gyeonggi Province held a Severe Disability Products Expo on the 5th at the Suwon Gwanggyo Provincial Government Building.

Gyeonggi Province held the '2024 Severe Disability Products Expo' on the 5th at the Gwanggyo Provincial Government Building in Suwon.

The expo, hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi Province Disabled Products Sales Facility, is the second event held this year following last year to support the independence of people with disabilities through the promotion and sale of products made by people with severe disabilities.

At the expo, 43 disabled product manufacturing facilities from the province participated, exhibiting and selling a variety of products including Chuseok holiday gift sets, various office supplies, daily necessities, and food items.

In particular, to increase participation of public officials and public institution purchasing officers, experience booths such as postcard making using preserved flowers were operated, and small gifts were provided for on-site purchases at the booths.

Kim Seong-jung, the First Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, said, "I hope this expo will serve as an opportunity to help the independence and self-reliance of people with disabilities in Gyeonggi Province through increased income," adding, "Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will continuously strive to expand the purchase of products made by people with severe disabilities."

Gyeonggi Province supports sales agency, distribution, market development, and marketing activities for disabled products through the operation of the Gyeonggi Province Disabled Products Sales Facility to promote the sales of products made by people with severe disabilities.
