Suhyup Shopping Supports Pregnant Women with Chungcheongnam-do and Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency through Chungnam Seafood Assistance

Suhyup Shopping, the direct management shopping mall of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, announced on the 5th that it will carry out the '2024 Chungnam Seafood Promotion (Package) Support Project for Pregnant Women' in collaboration with Chungcheongnam-do and the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency.

This project supplies seafood to 1,000 pregnant women residing in Chungcheongnam-do to promote the excellence of local seafood and stimulate consumption. Chungcheongnam-do first piloted this project nationwide last year and received great response.

From the 2nd of this month until the end of the year, Suhyup Shopping will hold a special exhibition offering excellent seafood products from the Chungnam region, including dried anchovies, dried shrimp, blue crabs, squid, and gim (seaweed).

Pregnant women selected through the application process will receive six seafood purchase coupons worth 10,000 KRW each over two months via Suhyup Shopping. If all coupons are used within the period, they will receive an additional seafood package worth 40,000 KRW.

Additionally, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives plans to provide a benefit where pregnant women who use all coupons will receive 10% of the coupon usage amount back as points, funded by its own marketing budget.

A representative of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives said, "We are honored to collaborate with Chungcheongnam-do and the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency on this support project for pregnant women," adding, "We will continue to do our best to widely promote the excellence of domestic seafood, including that of Chungcheongnam-do."

Meanwhile, since August, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives has been promoting the first phase of the Suhyup Shopping mall reconstruction project and plans to reopen in November 2025.
