The Genesis large electric sedan G80 facelift model has been released. The interior and exterior have been refined, and specifications such as a 27-inch large display have been added. The price has increased by about 1 million KRW.
Genesis announced on the 5th that it will launch the G80 electric facelift model.
Equipped with a 4th generation high-voltage battery with a capacity increased by 7.3 kWh to 94.5 kWh, the single-charge driving range has been raised to 475 km (combined, certified by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy). The dual motor delivers a combined output of 272 kW and combined torque of 700 Nm, accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
Active Rear Wheel Steering (RWS) has been applied to secure excellent turning radius and steering stability despite the increased wheelbase. In addition to the previously applied Active Road Noise Control (ANC-R), improvements in interior quietness were made by increasing the thickness of the quarter and rear glass, expanding the body foam, and applying more sound-absorbing materials in the rear seat area.
On the exterior, key parts such as the bumper and lamps have been refined. New 19-inch dish-type wheels have also been applied. Exterior colors include new options such as Geneva Silver and Matira Blue (exclusive to electric vehicles).
The facelift model’s wheelbase has been extended by 130 mm to 3140 mm. The rear seat position has been optimized to secure best-in-class rear seat comfort. The rear legroom is 995 mm (+83 mm compared to the previous model), and the headroom is 950 mm (+20 mm compared to the previous model). For the first time in an electric vehicle, 'Chauffeur Mode' has been introduced, along with flagship-level premium features such as 'Rear VIP Seats.'
The G80 electric model’s 27-inch OLED cluster/navigation integrated display allows selection between split-screen modes of two or three sections. Users can enjoy navigation or online video streaming services (OTT) according to their preferences. The sound system features a high-resolution Bang & Olufsen system with 17 speakers and Dolby Atmos.
Interior color options include four types: Obsidian Black Monotone, Ecru Camel Monotone, Prussian Blue Monotone, and Ash Gray/Glacier White Two-tone.
Convenience and safety features include an indoor fingerprint authentication system, heated front console armrest, passenger seat memory system, 3-zone+ climate control (including independent airflow control for the second row), Digital Key 2, Built-in Cam 2, and a direct grip sensing steering wheel.
The selling price is 89.19 million KRW (before electric vehicle tax benefits), which is an increase of 980,000 KRW from before. Customers who purchase will receive EV car care benefits such as charging credits, damage coverage, and premium vehicle management; lifestyle benefits including hotel memberships and subscription services; and gifts such as golf bags and travel sets. Additionally, benefits to ensure peace of mind when purchasing an electric vehicle, such as used car residual value guarantees and new car exchange support, will also be provided.
