Junggok Children's Park Creative Playground

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has newly renovated two locations, Junggok 1-dong Junggok Children's Park and Jayang 4-dong Seonghwa Children's Park, into 'Creative Playgrounds.'

Creative Playgrounds are spaces designed to foster children's creativity and adventurous spirit through various play facilities. Gwangjin-gu introduced diverse and distinctive play equipment to create customized parks for children.

First, at Junggok Children's Park, the existing steep hill was removed, and new play facilities shaped like a boat and two trampolines were installed. Additionally, a garden-style flowerbed was created around the park, planting 32 species of trees including pine trees, allowing children to develop their adventurous spirit in a playground harmonized with nature.

At Seonghwa Children's Park, outdated play facilities were replaced with bright and vibrant ones. Convenience facilities such as pergolas (shade structures) were also installed, and it is expected that many residents will be able to comfortably relax with their children at the Creative Playground.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We created Creative Playgrounds in two children's parks to provide an environment where children can develop healthy and creative thinking,” adding, “I hope many children enjoy a fun and meaningful time at the Creative Playgrounds, naturally expressing their creativity and imagination.”
