Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong met on the afternoon of the 4th at Seungjiwon in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with a delegation of U.S. federal senators visiting Korea, U.S. Ambassador to Korea Philip Goldberg, and others to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between Korean and American companies, Samsung Electronics announced. At this meeting, Chairman Lee is believed to have shared the current status and information of Korean and American companies ahead of the upcoming U.S. presidential election and exchanged opinions regarding Samsung Electronics' business operations in the United States.

Chairman Lee has previously met several times at Seungjiwon with visiting state guests and executives of global IT companies to discuss business cooperation plans. Earlier, Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman, LJF (Lee Kunhee Japanese Friends, a group of Japanese partner companies), and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, visited Seungjiwon. Since major business cooperation deals, or 'big deals,' have been decided at Seungjiwon, there is anticipation in the business community that Chairman Lee's expansion of 'Seungjiwon management' will lead to business achievements such as discovering new future businesses for Samsung and strengthening partnerships with global companies.

Utilizing his extensive global network, Chairman Lee has contributed not only to Samsung's business but also to national interests, serving as a 'private diplomat.' In 2019, when the 'semiconductor material export restrictions' occurred due to deteriorating Korea-Japan relations, he contributed to overcoming supply chain crises through broad exchanges and cooperation with the Japanese business community, including the chairman group of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren). He has also frequently met with key figures in U.S. politics and government to broadly discuss global economic issues, U.S. industrial policies, and investments. During his 2021 business trip to the U.S., Chairman Lee held a series of meetings with key officials from the White House and the U.S. Congress to discuss mutual cooperation measures to resolve global semiconductor supply chain issues.

Recently, during a trip to France, he attended a luncheon for global business leaders held at the ?lys?e Palace in Paris at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, where he discussed global economic issues, future technology trends, and mutual cooperation measures with political and economic figures from various countries.
